Save a life, donate blood!
Two blood drives happening, you could save a life.
A blood drive will be held today from 2-7:30 p.m. at the Merrick Library; walk-ins are welcome. For further information call Angela Capone at 377-6112, ext. 117.
Can’t make that?
On Sunday, August 15, Calhoun senior Charlie Isham will be hosting a blood drive at Curé of Ars Church from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. You can schedule an appointment by calling 379-7633 or signing up at www.nybloodcenter.org – where you can also find out more about the requirements. Photo ID is required for all who donate.
Donors must be 17 or older. (Sixteen-year-olds need written parental consent.) “We have [consent] forms and will be happy to drop them off if needed,” said Charlie. “Thank you in advance. The Blood Center is in great need of blood at this time of year. Donations are greatly appreciated,” he concluded.
