Rev. Dr. Edwin Jones
Bishop Jeremiah J. Park, resident bishop of the New York Annual Conference United Methodist Church, has appointed the Rev. Dr. Edwin Jones as pastor of the United Methodist Church of Seaford, effective July 1.
His last Pastoral appointment was the New Canaan United Methodist Church, New Canaan, Connecticut, from 2002 to 2009. Prior to that he served as pastor for United Methodist churches in Yorktown, New York, Warwick, Rhode Island and Lynn, Massachusetts. He also was circuit superintendent over eight churches in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Raised in the Republic of South Africa, Dr. Jones is fluent in English and Afrikaans.
Dr. Jones received his BA from Kentucky Wesleyan College, his M.Div. from Boston University and his Doctor of Ministry from Drew University, Madison, New Jersey.
